Hi,
I have an issue with asset expired useful life. It is not calculated & I am not able to see any planned depreciation values for future.
Asset was created with capitalization & acquisition date of 12/31/2013 & 12/17/2013 resp & acquisition year 2013 009. Depreciation run was done for Period 9 through 12 in 2014 fiscal year & then fiscal year 2014 was closed.
Asset explorer only shows posted values for 2014. There are no planned values seen for future.
User checked and found since our fiscal year is from Apr to Mar the acquisition year should have been 2014 009 (period) but it was wrongly set to 2013 009. When she tried to change it system was demanding Expired useful life year and period to be entered as those fields are mandatory.
But when we try to input the value there we are getting an error "SYST: depreciation area 00 not defined".
To change the year we also tried by reopening the previous fiscal year. It allowed us to change it as we had opened up the acquisition year hence those 2 fields had disappeared from AS02. But when we closed the fiscal year again those fields appeared as blank again.
How do I handle this issue?? All other assets under same asset class & same depreciation key work fine.
