Thanks for all the help. It was the installation files that were corrupted. I forgot to update this as I was so excited when it worked last Friday. So sorry it slipped my mind. Thanks a lot for your input and kindness. 
Victoria, I still need to look into DBA Cockpit and use automatic table managment. I read about it but just did not have enough time. So the solution is to install a new version or download one that actually has the correct files.
